Team 1747 is preparing to have an amazing season! Special thanks to our current sponsors, the McAllister Foundation, Caterpillar, and Braunability for their generous donations toward our success. We have been tirelessly working on prototype after prototype, code after code to prepare for the upcoming competition season. We look forward to seeing other teams promoting gracious professionalism in our competitions!
Team 1747, Harrison Boiler Robotics, qualified the FIRST World’s Robotics Competition in Detroit by ranking first in the Indiana FIRST State Competition. In their division of six other divisions, they ranked twelfth in the qualifying rounds, then were chosen to be in the second ranked team’s alliance. By the end of the exhausting but exciting three-and-a-half days, their work paid off and the alliance was tied for seventh in the world, the best Tippecanoe has ever done.
Congratulations, team 1747 for an outstanding season!
This Saturday, February 17th, from 4-6pm we will have our annual robot reveal/open house for the four teams associated with the Purdue FIRST Programs. This year it is McCutcheon High School’s turn to host. You are welcome and encouraged to attend.
We have an all-parents’ meeting at 6pm on Thursday, February 15. We encourage at least one parent, representing their child, to attend. It will be in the room across the hall from our robotics room. It should take roughly an hour.
Dues statements should be available at the Thursday parent’s meeting. If this creates a burden on the family, please let Coach Klumpe know. We have a fund we can access if need be as well as giving priority to family work schedules for the district event in order to work off some of the dues.
Parents: You can now register for the email list from here!
